We are so happy to have you! On this page you will find an introduction to everything you need to know as you begin your new exercise journey.

By increasing physical activity, endometrial cancer survivors can lower their risk for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, other cancers, and premature death. Physical activity may also lead to decreases in body mass index (BMI), lowering the risk of overall and disease-specific mortalities.

The exercises in your new program have been selected specifically for you! These exercises are meant to be done at home with the materials provided to you at your baseline visit. By doing these exercises, you can improve your muscle strength, cardiovascular fitness, and overall function.

Your exercise prescription

For this program, you have been prescribed muscle strengthening and aerobic exercises. If you are new to these exercises, don't worry! During the program your health coach will be there to help you along the way.

Your muscle strengthening exercise prescription:

All eight exercises on two non-consecutive days of the week
2 - 3 sets
8 - 12 repetitions
RPE of 7 - 8

Your aerobic exercise prescription:

The overall goal is 150 minutes (2.5 hours) of at least moderate intensity aerobic exercise each week.

Every minute counts! You can do small daily sessions of 10-30 minutes, or aim for longer sessions like a walk with a loved one.

Moderate intensity exercise is that which increases your heart rate, breathing and sweating slightly. You can still hold a conversation at this intensity.

Vigorous intensity exercises are those that induce large increases in breathing, heart rate and sweating. This intensity you'll have short, choppy sentences, you wouldn't be able to sing.
