These new exercises will challenge your body. you may feel stiff in the beginning. This is very normal and happens because you re using muscles you are not used to working in this way. It is important you continue to exercise. The stiffness will leave as your body becomes more used to the exercises. If you are very sore the day after exercising, the intensity of the exercises needs to be decreased. Discuss this with your health coach.
There should be no joint pain with the exercises. The saying "no pain, no gain" is not true. If you have any questions or experience any pain, please ask to discuss this during your health coaching sessions, or you may call us to discuss your discomfort. It is important you are medically able to do the exercises.
Exercise should be postponed if you fall ill or have a new injury. Contact your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms during exercise:
Dizziness
Nausea
Chest pain and/or pressure
Shortness of breath (you are unable to speak because you are short of breath)
